Wickham Multiple Unit Diesel Trains and Lightweight Railbuses
This February 1959 advert shows the two passenger types that D. Wickham & Company Limited built for British Railways. The text of the advert stresses how light the vehicles are, the "lightest in each field" thanks to their stresses body construction using tubular construction which the Ware company had successfully been using for over twenty years in vehicles around the world. Both images were commonly used publicity images, the top being E50415 from a two-car DMU and the bottom picture showing railbus SC79965.
