Advert Titled There are now 120 main-line locomotives with Sulzer Diesel Engines

A very picturesque advert (as many Sulzer ads were) from January 1960 showing a British Railways Derby Works built Type 4 quite appropriately in the Peak District since these locomotives would become known as the "Peaks". The advert notes that Sulzer had now supplied 120 of the main line locomotives that were now in service on British Railways with one of their diesel engines. The locomotive pictured had a 2,300hp 12LDA28.

This advert appears in the following categories: Traction: Class 44 ; Supplier: Sulzer ; Component: Diesel Engines (Power Unit)
