Smiths are Instrumental
A December 1955 advert from Smiths Industrial Instruments Limited. It features an image of a West Riding Derby Lightweight unit and it describes the components the company supplied for the eight sets. The bottom image is interesting as it show the cab gauges and there are two engine speed indicators side by side, later builds had a single indicator with a toggle switch to select each engine.
