SKF in Service in Ulster
A nice colour painting by AR Johnson of a diesel railcar is the illustration in this Skefko Ball Bearing Company Limited advert from December 1958. It shows a five-car set of the type in use between Belfast and Londonderry converted by the Ulster Transport Authority which had SFK self-aligning axleboxes fitted to the existing bogies. The UTA noted that this improved riding qualities.
