First seems to be E3040 (AL4/Class 84) hauling the first train on the newly electrified Manchester-Crewe route. Next is diesel hydraulic D601 leaving Paddington with the inaugural diesel "The Cornish Riviera". Last is a diesel Pullman set, built by Metro-Cammell but powered by NBL/MAN engines.
