Modernization of British Railways Assisted by Purolator
A two-car "Derby Heavyweight" (later known as a Class 114) features as the main image in this half page November 1961 advert placed by the Automotive Products Company Limited of Leamington Spa. Their "Purolator" impregnated paper filters were used on these vehicles. The illustrated set (with Ulceby on the destination blind) is fitted with Leyland Albion engines and not the Leyland 680 engines most were built with.
