Mayback Diesels Power the new Hymek Locomotives
A July 1961 Bristol Siddeley Engines Limited advert for the Maybach engines that they manufactured under license. With the 95 for the Hymek Type 3s there were now orders for 286 power units for British Railways. As well as the Hymek illustration there are photos of a power unit being lowered into a D800 loco at Swindon and a power unit housing and disk-webbed roller bearing crankshaft.
