Maybach Power Comes to Britain
A striking illustration of a Warship diesel hydraulic locomotive at speed is the centerpiece of this April 1959 advert from Bristol Siddeley Diesel Engines Limited. They were now building the Maybach engines under license from Germany in a range from 200 to 2,000hp some of which were used in Modernisation Plan locomotives for the Western Region.
