Going Ahead With 'Kynal'
An Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) advert from 1958 for their Kynal aluminium alloy products. This material was used extensively in the aluminium bodied DMU vehicles built at Derby Works (Derby Lightweights and Class 108s) which the advert notes was the largest single programme of light alloy railway coach building undertaken anywhere in the world.
