The Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company, just like many other British rolling stock builders, constructed vehicles for other parts of the world. This 1954 advert shows they built all 100 vehicles for the first underground system in Canada which was in Toronto, long distance carriages for Ceylon Goverment Railways and bogie goods brake vans for East Africa. As well as the carriages and electric stock shown it also notes that have been manufacturing diesel-electric and diesel engine carriages.
