From Drawing Board to Service
This Beyer Peacock (Hymek) Limited advert from February 1962 features an image of one of their Type 3 1,700hp diesel hydraulic locomotives leaving Bristol Goods Yard with a freight train. It notes there were: a new design; delivered before contract date; immediately went into regular service. Hymek was a collaboration between Beyer Peacock, Bristol Siddeley Engines and Stone Platt Industries.
