Another 137 New Type 4 Diesel-Electric Locomotives
A Crompton Parkinson Limited advert from May 1959. It notes they had been appointed as the main contractors for the supply of 137 power equipments for new Type 4 locos being built by British Railways. These would use 2300hp and 2500hp Sulzer engines becoming the Class 44 and Class 45s.
