1160hp Engine-Generator set for British Railways
A September 1959 advert from Sulzer Bros. noting that 114 of these diesel electric locomotives being built by British Railways Workshops will be fitted with their diesel engines. The power units were being built by Vickers Armstrongs at Barrow-in-Furness and brought the total number of British Railways locos with Sulzer engines to 207.
